Happening Times

Thought trying to building my own web page would be a good learning experience, so I figured, why not? A little about me, humm where should I start? I am a Virgo although I don't always live my life according to the horoscopes but I do like to read it. I was raised Catholic but have recently been born again. Reading the Bible has been very positive and if you have ever been interested in reading it or felt the need or are curious, it would be good to start. I was in the Peace Corps from 2000-2002 in Central America and think it was one of the best things I have ever done. I will refer to experiences from the peace corps from time to time. Now, I am working for a non-profit and planning to go back to school for my second Master's degree, this one in public health. Finally, I met my long lost father and his side of the family in November 2003. I was raised by my single mother and had no idea of his whereabouts since she left him when I was a mere one year old child. I will also refer to this experience as I think it was such a big event in my life to leave out. You will begin to know me even understand me and of course this will be my online journal where I can jot down my feelings, ideas, successes and trials so thank you for logging on and checking out my Happening Times.

I enjoy running 5k and 10 k races. I like to go to spoken word events at Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC from time to time. I like going to Brighton Beach in the summer. I like going to the movies and having nachos and cheese. I like cuddling with my boyfriend and watching Spongebob Squarepants with him or alone.
